Are the rates real-time?
Rates come from the Frankfurter API, which sources from the European Central Bank. They update once per business day and don't reflect the bid-ask spread, fees, or markups your bank or card issuer adds to a real conversion.
Why does my bank give a different rate?
Banks and cards add a margin to the mid-market rate (sometimes 2–4%) plus fixed fees. The figures here are the underlying mid-market rate, not what you'd actually pay or receive.
